To anyone who feels ALONE:
Maybe you feel most alone in a crowded room. Or maybe that familiar feeling comes when you’re lying awake in the dark, just you and your thoughts.
But you are not alone. You are not alone in your brokenness. You are not alone in your anxiety. You are not alone in your depression. You are not alone in your heartache. You are not alone in your confusion. You are not alone in your journey.
No matter what our broken hearts and distorted thoughts may tell us, we are never truly alone. We have a Friend who loves us and walks with us and is with us in the darkness. When we feel most broken and anxious and afraid and alone, let us turn our thoughts to the One who mends our shattered souls, eases our anxious minds, calms our frequent fears, and holds our lonely hearts. Embracing that constant Friend we have in Christ begins by simply talking to Him, telling Him about our day like we would anyone else. Confiding in Him, telling Him our deepest fears and foremost despairs. He is always there.
“I am not alone. You go before me. You will never leave me.”
